Velocipede Bike Orchestra photos

Well it's been about a week of recovery from all the High Jinx, and there are tons more photos, videos, and audio recordings to sort through. They'll be showing up here soon enough, but in the meantime we found some nice photos of the Velocipede Bike "Orchestra" on Flickr from Boson, who says

Theater Project with contact mics triggering a midi controller.

The Free Music Parade, Fells Pt.

Beautiful weather and smiling faces. After so many years of parading
through Fells Pt, the locals know to put their hangovers on hold for
this event. As always, we had to take a stroll through Sound Garden
Records, mixing our cacophony with Judas Priest.

High Jinx = too much crazy good everything and more to come this weekend

Wow, things in the high Jinx / High Zero universe are picking up at a crazy speed. Collecting images and sounds but no time to post them yet. They'll show up soon. Much fun, not much sleep. 

In addition to the regular High Zero concerts at Theatre Project tonight through Sunday, there are at least 15 fun High Jinx happenings around town before the weekend's over. Come out to watch or join in.

Draggin'

Draggin' is a performance piece conceived of by Lewis Gesner.
It simply involves attaching long strings to your ankles and at the
ends of the strings are sticks of wood, plastic tubes, metal bits.
As you walk the objects make a meditative rhythm behind you. The sound
and rhythm changes as the strings tangle and bits get torn off by
curbs, signposts, etc.

You, with the camera! print and cut these if you might run into a High Jinx

"you, with the camera!" - or more likely a cell phone in unexpected public situations

A sheet of DIY "business cards" to keep in your wallet or pocket and hand to anyone you see taking photos of videos of a High Jinx street event. It's an easy way to encourage people to add their photos of videos the shared photo group on Flickr: www.flickr.com/groups/highjinx/ - just hand them one and that's it.
